August 11, 2010, Khushhalibank successfully completes 10 years of micro-finance banking in Pakistan. Ghalib Nishtar, President Khushhalibank, expressing his views on the occasion said, "Today, we have made our contribution by making a difference in hundreds and thousands of lives across the country by providing financial service access to the unbanked segments of the population."                April 19, 2010, Khushhalibank held its Annual Sales Conference at PC Bhurban to review the performance for the year 2009. The conference was chaired by Ghalib Nishtar, President, Khushhalibank and attended by all Departmental Heads and the Retail Unit from the Corporate Office, and Regional Business Managers and Territory Portfolio Managers from their respective Regions.                  February 16, 2010, Khushhali Bank in collaboration with American Business Council has given the first 20 cheques to the affected traders of Bolton Market under 'Bolton Market - Business Revitalization Program' of USAID in a ceremony held in Karachi. Khushhali Bank is managing the process of grant disbursement of USAID's funds of PKR 1 billion for the program.                  Islamabad, 21st November 2009, Khushhali Bank participated in the 3rd International Microfinance Forum 2009 which was inaugurated by the Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, Syed Salim Raza. Khushhali Bank was one of the main sponsors of the conference which witnessed huge attendance by delegates from both the public & private sector.                  August 11, 2009, Khushhali Bank celebrates its ninth anniversary to acknowledge the contribution and hard work of its employees, while resolving to make its clients a priority and rejoicing the unprecedented success of past nine years.                  Khushhali Bank Limited re-constitutes its Board of Directors for a term of three years. Syed Ali Raza, President, National Bank of Pakistan, being the chairman, the new Board of Directors consists of seven members, four representing the share holders three non share holding Independent Directors.

   5th Citi-PPAF Micro Entrepreneurship Awards, 2008
   
 

5th Citi-PPAF Micro Entrepreneurship Awards, 2008, were held on December 01, 2008. These awards are given every year by Citibank and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund to recognize the achievements and contributions of individual micro entrepreneurs towards economic sustainability of their families as well as communities. Citi-PPAF Awards also aim at illustrating and promoting the effective role that microfinance has played in poverty alleviation around the world and thereby encourages and supports the growth of microfinance industry in Pakistan. Citibank runs this programme in 28 countries across the globe to create awareness about the microfinance industry and to support its growth through due recognition of outstanding micro entrepreneurs.

This year 300 applications were solicited under this programme from all major microfinance institutions across the country. The process of short listing involved several rounds of screening and the final selection was made by a jury of highly capable and renowned professionals.

The successful entrepreneurs were awarded cash prizes in a ceremony held in Islamabad by Mr. Shaukat Tareen, Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs & Statistics. The National Best Female Entrepreneur Award of Rs. 150,000 was won by Ms. Sahibzaadi, a borrower of Sindh Agricultural and Forestry Workers' Coordinating Organization (SAFWCO) and The National Best Male Entrepreneur Award of an equal measure was won by Mr. Abdul Rehman, a borrower of Organization for Participatory Development (OPD).

Sofia Nelofar, a client of Khushhali Bank, Peshawar, was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 130,000 for winning the position of National Runner- up Best Female Entrepreneur. Her loan officer Anila Naimat was also awarded a prize for her efforts in reaching out to such enterprising entrepreneurs. At the regional level, Niaz Ahmed, a client of Khushhali Bank, Sukkur was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and his loan officer Siraj Ahmed also received a cash award.
